Altair Premium Garland · Specifications

2.2 metres of branch, counted.

The GAA-220 is a 220 cm garland: 147 Altair branches and 882 moulded twigs along its full length. These are the figures from the factory sheet: measured and counted.

GAA-220 · Factory sheet 220 cm long GAA-220 · laid straight the same garland, shaped by hand
Length 220cm End to end, laid straight. Shaped into curves it covers less, so plan the run.
Branches 147 One Altair branch type, the same from one end to the other.
Moulded twigs 882 Six on each branch. They fill the gaps between the branches.
Weight, boxed 1.55kg The carton on the scales. Light enough for small hooks and ties.

Flame-retardant by material

The GAA-220 is moulded from flame-retardant PE. The material resists ignition and self-extinguishes instead of feeding a flame. Keep candles at a safe distance all the same, especially on a mantelpiece or a table where the garland and the candles share the surface.

Where it goes

Four placements, drawn to scale, each against the length that decides it.

mantelpiece · elevation

Along the mantelpiece

On a 150 cm mantel shelf the 220 cm garland runs the full length with about 35 cm hanging down at each end. On a longer shelf it lies straight from end to end. On a shorter one, let more hang at the ends.

staircase · elevation

Down the staircase rail

Wound along a handrail, 220 cm covers about six steps of a standard flight. Fix it at both ends and once in the middle. For a whole flight, lay two or three garlands end to end.

door frame · elevation

Over the door

Across the head of a standard 85 cm door frame, about 105 cm, the 220 cm garland leaves about 57 cm to hang down each side. Fix it at the two top corners and let the ends hang.

180 × 90 cm table · plan

Down the table

Laid down the centre of a 180 cm dining table, the 220 cm garland fits end to end in a gentle wave. On a shorter table let the ends hang over the edge, or lay it straight and let it run past the ends.

Altair Premium Garland · Anatomy of the garland

One branch, repeated 147 times, along two metres.

The GAA-220 is one moulded PE branch repeated 147 times along two metres. That is the whole construction, and it is why the garland looks the same at the ends as in the middle. Tap a marker to see how it is put together.

  1. The Branch

Position: All along the garland. Every branch on the garland is the same moulded Altair branch: a flat spray with needles on both sides of a brown stem. Because the branch is the same everywhere, the garland looks the same at the ends as in the middle, and there is no thin part to hide.

  2. Tips & Density

Position: Across the width. The small twigs sit between the branches and fill the gaps, so the garland reads as one thick run rather than a row of separate branches. This is what makes it look full on a mantel or a table with nothing added.

  3. The Length

Position: End to end. Laid straight the garland is 220 cm long. A 150 cm mantel shelf takes it with 25 cm hanging at each end. A door frame takes it across the head with about 47 cm down each side. A 180 cm table takes it end to end in a gentle wave. For a longer run, lay two garlands end to end and let the branches overlap at the join.

The EVEXMAS GAA-220 Altair artificial Christmas garland is injection-moulded in 100% PE, with no PVC filler: 147 branches and 882 mini-twigs along 220 cm.

100% PE

Every needle moulded in PE

No PVC filler anywhere on the GAA-220. The Altair branch and all 882 mini-twigs are injection-moulded in 100% PE, so the needles are soft, three-dimensional and shaded from tip to stem, on the branch in your hand exactly as in the photos.

Altair Premium Garland · Questions

The practical questions, answered plainly.

Length, fixing, joining, storage, lights. These are the questions buyers ask before choosing a garland, answered from the GAA-220’s own spec sheet.

How long is it, really?

220 cm laid straight, end to end. Shaped into swags or curves it covers less distance, so measure the run you want to dress and allow for the shape. A 150 cm mantel shelf takes one garland with 25 cm hanging at each end; a door frame takes one across the head with about 47 cm down each side; a 180 cm table takes one end to end in a gentle wave.

How do I fix it to a mantel, a door or a rail?

Fix it at each end and once in the middle. Small adhesive hooks work on a mantel or a door frame, and soft ties or florist wire work on a stair rail. Boxed it weighs 1.55 kg, so it does not need heavy fixings.

Can I join two garlands for a longer run?

Yes. Lay them end to end and let the branches at the join overlap. Because every branch is the same, the join disappears into the run. Two garlands give 400 cm laid straight, enough for a whole staircase flight or a long mantel with drops at both ends.

Is it the same branch as the Altair trees and wreaths?

Yes. The GAA-220 uses the Altair branch, the same moulded PE branch as the Altair trees and wreaths, so a garland, a wreath and a tree from the range match when they stand in the same room.

What is a PE garland, and why no PVC?

PE (polyethylene) needles are injection-moulded in 3D, so each of the GAA-220’s 882 mini-twigs has the shape and softness of real growth and the branches look right from every side, not only from the front. Cheaper garlands are made from flat PVC film cut into fringe. The GAA-220 uses no PVC filler at all.

Is an artificial garland a fire risk?

The GAA-220 is moulded from flame-retardant PE: the material resists ignition and self-extinguishes instead of feeding a flame. Treat it like any Christmas decoration: keep candles and open flames at a safe distance, especially on a mantelpiece or a table where garland and candles share the surface.

Can it go outside?

Yes. The plain GAA-220 has no electrics and nothing that can rust, so it can dress a porch, a covered entrance or an outside door frame. A sheltered place is still the best choice: months of direct sun will fade any moulded green over several seasons.

How do I store it?

Straighten it and lay it flat in its box, or coil it loosely in a wide loop. Do not fold it sharply. When it comes out in December, run your hand along each branch to the tips and it is ready to use.

Is there a version with lights?

Yes. The GAA-220/LED is the same garland with 100 lamps built in, and it weighs 1.75 kg boxed. This page is the plain GAA-220.

What about delivery and returns?

Delivery within the EU is free, and every garland has a 14-day return window.

Altair Premium Garland LED · Questions

The practical questions, answered plainly.

Length, the lights, fixing, joining, storage. These are the questions buyers ask before choosing a lit garland, answered from the GAA-220/LED’s own spec sheet.

How many lamps, and where are they?

100 LED lamps, built in along the whole length at even spacing, about one every 2 cm. The ends are lit as well as the middle. The lamps are in place when the garland comes out of the box: there is no light string to wind on.

How are the lights powered?

They plug into a wall socket. There are no batteries to buy or change. Before you fix the ends, check that the socket end of the garland reaches a socket, or allow for an extension lead.

How do I fix it to a mantel, a door or a rail?

Fix it at each end and once in the middle. Small adhesive hooks work on a mantel or a door frame, and soft ties or florist wire work on a stair rail. Boxed it weighs 1.75 kg, so it does not need heavy fixings. Start from the end that reaches the socket, then fix the rest.

Can I join two garlands for a longer run?

Yes. Lay them end to end and let the branches at the join overlap. Because every branch is the same, the join disappears into the run. Each garland is lit on its own. Two garlands give 400 cm laid straight, enough for a whole staircase flight or a long mantel with drops at both ends.

Can it go outside?

The lit version is for indoor use. For a porch, a covered entrance or an outside door frame, choose the plain GAA-220, which has no electrics.

How do I store it?

Straighten it and lay it flat in its box, or coil it loosely in a wide loop. Do not fold it sharply, because the lamp wire runs the whole length. When it comes out in December, run your hand along each branch to the tips and it is ready to use.
